New owner of '74 CB750, Missouri

Howdy all,

I recently acquired a '74 CB750.  I'm in Columbia, Missouri.  My plan is to get the bike ridable for this coming riding season and enjoy it, mostly for pleasure.  Maybe some rides to work to help keep the gasoline expenditures down when gas gets expensive agian this summer.

The bike hasn't been ridden in a couple of years and has been done up in a style that I don't appreciate so much.  Here it is as purchased:

I've already removed the backrest and am looking for a stock style seat or something a little more basic.

I also plan to replace the bars.  Drag bars, I think, will fit my style nicely.  Clip ons seem expensive.  I'm mostly just going for a more aggressive and basic look.

If someone could tell me what years of stock seat will bolt onto my bike, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks for looking,
Clem

I'd also love to find some spoked wheels for this bike someday.  The "updated" ones on it are functional and fine, but I really like the look of the spokers.

Hi Clem, and welcome.  You are correct, that ugly-a$$ed seat has to go.  ;)
