cb500 four carb problem
« on: February 20, 2009, 11:50:22 am »
Hi
I new in this but not in bikes..
I just total rebuilt a CB500 Four 1972...
Yesterday i start engine but with air to open position rev go too high and to close position engine stop..
If i open air very little it run ok but i can do idle to 1000 rpm cause engine stop..also if i try to open throttle engine does not rev back quick after i release throttle..
Today i just saw that 2 of 4 slow jets that i repair(the other 2 was ok) and 4 air screws was send to me wrong cause they are for CB360..
Now i have to take off carb...change slow jets and air screws and i will set float to 22mm as manual state and i hope that things will be ok..
Is there anything else that i have to do?
Its my first 4 cylinder bike and never had to work on 4 carbs....im little confused..
Please advise
