Hello and questions
« on: February 23, 2009, 07:42:05 AM »
I'm saying hello for the first time. I live in Bath, UK, and am currently rebuilding my old CB550F. The question, before I take the spokes out of the wheels, is what is the offset?

Hi mate.

You are very close to the guru (Bryan Jones) who's in Gloucester.  I'm sure he'll be along soon (as will many others who have rebuilt their wheels).

Mine were done by a wheel rebuilder I'm afraid so I just paid the money...

Pop in to www.sohc.co.uk and chat to the "UK Chapter" - not a competitor, just your local bunch of sohc-heads!

Mine will be done by somebody else too, but he wants to know the offsets. I'll be measuring them myself, but I wouldn't mind a nominal figure.

Welcome and as Steve said Bryan Jones is very close to you - he knows all there is to know about 550s and is a super nice guy as well. You cant go wrong by going to see him or sending him a PM.
