I fount it on egay but I can't give you any further information. It's definitely not for a CB500 because the "cups" which shopuld fit the rubber mounds where wrong but I could modify them to fit!

It's a European-made steel tank. There was one available recently on eBay Germany for 600 EUR Buy-It-Now.

Don, if your tank is set up to fit a CB750 chassis and you want to trade for the CB500/550 version, let's talk. I have a couple.

BTW, without your profile being filled out we don't even know what country you're in...  ;D  RR

Re the mounts;

I recently tried a 500-4 tank, a 400-4 tank on a 78F frame and they all went on the front part. Of course tunnel and frame clearance varies.

So if it is not fitting at the rubbers, is it perhaps off another make?

All the above seemed to use same spacing..Actually Fun Jimmy was there when I tried the 400-4 , it looked really good, will fit with fairly minor work.

754, the front tank cups on my tank fit a CB500/550 perfectly, but sit a couple inches lower than the stock mounts on a  1972-76 CB750K frame. Trust me; I've checked enough times!  Either the cups can be cut and rewelded or the CB750 rubber mount points can be cut off and moved lower.

I haven't tried the tank on a '75-76 CB750 "F" frame, but I will later today. I expect they are exactly as the comparable "K" model.

Tunnel and frame clearance aren't a problem with this tank design because the bottom is wide open.  But you may be right; Don's tank may have been made for a totally different brand completely. RR

WOW, that tunnel is WIDE, and the tank too.. how wide is that thing?

I am working on a slim tank design, and the tunnel will be difficult..

 I have a 72 750 tank sitting beside the 78 frame, I will try it later, and see where the mounts put it. I may not have had the rubbers on when i tried the 500-4 tank, but did with the 400-4.. Maybe all superspert are common, but diff from CB?

I am not saying the tanks interchange, there is clearance and rear issues, but the front seemed to go on.

754, it's a perfect width for a Cb750/550 motor. Very graceful fit that completes the look of the cam cover.

Here's only one example...  ;D  RR

It all looks in proper proprtion on the bike..

I was just aiming at a different look, show off more valvecover, make motor look bigger, more of a lean look.. when its done, it will make sense. I hope. ???

F and K tanks are interchangeable, they sit the same on either frame, 750's of course.
