Mine were flat black spokes,the paint started to flake off after years of age,so I blasted them with low pressure and very fine grit. That was about 1982! Today there are many more
blasting mediums that won't eat the aluminum and just take off the paint. (walnut shells and such) Today I would ask around to find what works and what is available. I never got around
to repainting them, I agree they look good to me with a satin finish. If they get dirty/greasy
break clean clean them rite up in no time at all. Head
