Painting Side Badges
«

On my '71 CB500, I'm really bent on doing a soild paint scheme on the Honda tank badges. I'm thinking either like a machined aluminum look or maybe chrome... Has anyone done this, and if so will it last more than 2 weeks?? Pics if anyone has them!!

You're talking about metal "look" paint? like from a can?
Would take some SERIOUS prep work (for the little badges anyway) but I suppose you could pull it off.
Why not just have someone plate them. I'm sure there's mail order platic/metal platers around.

I was wondering if any of you have seen this paint scheme on the side cover before? I know the 1974 CB350 Four has gold stripes on the tank but never seen it on side covers before.
