You seem to be knowledgeable about past forum politics Eldar Vinman. I'm wondering what your previous ID was before you created a new ID dedicated to troll for Mr.Brew?

Guess I would like to know but yet not. Clearly who ever this is, does not like me from when I brought the topic up from before, so I would guess he did not like him.

Doing my best to not actually say the name as it seems to set some off.

Unless Eldar was really a part time student and part time musician who attended Concordia College I suspect they are different....although I have been wrong before and suspect I will be again eventually.

Really, I am not him. OK I admit I really suffered from footmouth disease on this thread. I hope I cleared that part up though. Right now I am just wanting to see if what I have read is what is being reported locally.

No worries Vinman!

I suspect though that someone is pulling something with the Eldar Vinam id...no idea why or what is to be gained but whatever...

Hope im not out of line here, but i think this thread was about showing your support for the 3 officers killed trying to do their jobs. (One of which was on his way home and stopped to help.....) Maybe we could find another place to figure out the whos who of the forum.... And in retrospect i would like to apologize for saying that i ever hoped anyone dies or their family is igonred by the police in a time of need. That is wrong. But really if you think cops are all jagoffs, and dont deserve your respect, than you dont really deserve their help. Sure some cops can be jerks. so can some mechanics, or bartenders, or construction workers, or doctors..... Unfortunatly not every person you meet is going to be a good person. That said, just because you met a few #$%*s in your life, doesnt give you the right to downplay the sacrifice of three men who just tried to make the streets a safer place for all of us. I know cops personally and even if they arent my favorite people PERSONALLY, i dont hate all cops, and im always willing to buy em a beer and say thanks for putting their asses on the line so my family and everyone else can go about their lives without living in constant fear of being robbed or murdered every time they leave the house. If you really hate police, im sure theres a place for you in some god awful third world country where youll never have to deal with them. Just have fun with the killers, drug lords, war lords, and other assorted folks youll have to deal with on a daily basis.......

You are absolutely right. In case you missed it, I do NOT hate cops. Don't get that idea about me. Right now I am just wondering if the yahoo article was right. The whole incident started over a mother and son arguing over dog pee?
Still wondering, I dont need the exact details just the basics.

Apologies for my poor choice of words.

The mother and son were arguing. The police had been called to the house on several occaisions before this. In local interviews with some of his friend he had apparently talked about this in the past.... All it comes down to is the fact that this young man, an ex marine no less, had very severe mental issues and should have been treated long ago for them. Why it started on this day is irrelevant. He literally laid in wait and gunned down three people and shot a fourth. If things like this, (and the shooting in new york) dont make people wake the hell up and start trying to help the people whos mind are this disturbed, its never going to stop. More innocent people will die every day. We as a species have a responsibility to change the way the world is for the better.... Let maybe start by trying to stop those out there who have problems so severe that we all will end up suffering for them. And i know this will piss a whole bunch of you off, and sorry, but maybe its about time we start getting AK-47s off the streets, and make it a bit tougher for any #$%*ing person to stockpile enough weaponry to hold police and emts at bay while they watch one of their own bleed to death 50 ft away.... Just a thought.

I wont comment on removing guns and such but I wonder if the son had been diagnosed or if he fell through the VA cracks. Maybe if he had been able to get proper treatment, this would not have happened. Taking into account he had actually tried to get help. :-\

Help from a government sponsored entity that is finding out now that the "one plan fits all" idea does not work is a tough sell to those who have been left at the bus stop. We know so little about the workings of the human mind. And that is the challenge and the curse.

Just 1 more post regarding this tragedy. Today Pittsburgh had a funeral service for them and the 3 officers were honored.  It was pretty powerful to watch the number of police departments that sent officers from not only around Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania, but also from around the country and Canada.
Thank you, to all of you who are police officers that are part of the thin blue line that keep our communities safe.
