Ok so I got my head out of the clouds long enough to actually work on the bike instead of draw new parts.  Here is what Ive gotten done so far.

got the clutch basket back in

got my pistons back on

And finally using the "hose clamp piston ring compressor" method, I got the cylinders back on.

And finally got my frame in to start measuring and plotting for its new hard tail.  I have a drawing of what I think will work I just haven't printed it out yet.  Thanks for looking.

Looks good.

Did you use any kind of jointing compound on the base gasket?

Here is the look that i will be trying to achieve.  Its slightly off scale but gives me a good direction to go in and what not.  Thats not the engine I will be using.  I drew it up in autosketch to get angles and tubing lengths and what not.

Good luck when you get to yours lordwhimsey

Ok its been a while, I get side tracked easily.  I picked up a new hobby Ive been dieing to try, leatherworking!  I have put together an idea i had for a seat, don't know if i will end up using it or not so here is a pic of it.

its just tooled, not colored or finished yet.  I might turn it into a patch for fun.  Just wanted to try out the design I made.  On to the bike.

Anyone got suggestions about what to do about my oil pump?  This is what it currently looks like.

I have decided to change my goals for this bike.  I just want it together so I can ride it for the time being... well not till it warms up here.  I want to hard tail it but I don't want to rush into it.  So I will be putting the swing arm back on it, maybe think about the bike in stages and what not.  Anyways thanks for looking and advice is always welcome!

does it pump oil freely? if so, soda blast it.

you can make a soda blast cabinet on the cheap... I cant remember who did it.

edit: found it.

I have no idea about its pumping capabilities.  Ive never seen it run.  I will soda blast it.  that oil switch looks like #$%* though.
