CB550F SS Clutch adjustment
« on: October 26, 2005, 03:04:38 PM »
Adjusted my clutch on my 550F and can't find the info I need anywhere. Where do you want the clutch to engage when releasing the lever? At the beginning of the release, in the middle or at the end of the throw of the lever? Right now it's right after I start to release the lever and I really like it there. Thanks!

My 74 CB500 owner's manual specifies 0.4~0.8 in. (10~20mm) free play measured at the tip of the clutch lever.

Yea, I'm familier with the freeplay but I don't believe that is referring to where the clutch releases. I believe that is just the amount of looseness in the lever.
