first i want to send a shout out to uncrash for the pistons and cylinders, 140 - 150 psi in all 4! somehow i have lunched a main bearing, sooooooo i'm going to start saving pennies for a total bottom end rebuild including an ape lightened, balanced crank and the cycle-x stock f2 rods they used to do. i hate motorcycles tonight  :D >:( ;D >:(

Alright Jeff, you need to get something going. I'm hosting the barbeque and ride in June at my home - you have to be there.

What's up?

got a good bottom end and got it togeether today. project fuzzycycle lives! runs like a bat out of hell too with the 750f cam and head. it's back on the lift tonight so i can get the new wheels/tires on and i'm good to go. 20 months i;ve been without a ride, man did it feel good, even if i did ride it sitting on top of the battery and frame  ;D

instead of elec tape... you should use fire retardant wire loom ;) its much more flexable than elec tape and looks clean too :)

wont be riding again till i get a proper seat, i vacuum synched the carbs, set the timing with the dyna, fudged with valve lash settings to get equal compression on all 4. this is the strongest running 35 year old motorcycle i've ever ridden, it almost sent me off the back when i whacked the throttle in second. looking forward to the bum stop seat from airtech.

Are you getting oil up to the top end?

it's not dripping or anything running with the tappet cover off. couple of days ago when i ran it i didnt get this noise. it may be that theres a problem with oil up top. i do have about 30psi oil pressure at idle when cold, 22 or so hot.

Ummm....that doesn't sound too good....

Can you see oil in the valve cover?

Seriously sounds like a couple valves are too loose.....least that was my impression from the video sound.

it's odd to me because it didnt make this noise the last time i fired it up. i really hate to have to take the whole thing back apart but looks like thats what is going to happen.
