Brand new member and cycle enthusiast
« on: April 30, 2009, 10:05:42 AM »
Hi.  My name is Johnny.  I recently acquired a 1978 CB750K for the low price of $500.  I came across this site several times while searching the web for info pertaining to my bike.  Everyone seemed very friendly, and the amount of information available was almost overwhelming.  Being new to motorcycle ownership, and having found myself with a bike that I "accidentally" disassembled to clean, I look forward to any advice, criticism, or general camaraderie I may encounter while here.

First tip:
Don't neglect the search function and the FAQ.  ;)

Welcome from Israel!

Mine is K8 with a K6 engine.

You just came to the right place!  Many good souls are just waiting to assist you in any question arise,  and as mentioned before ,  take your time with the "FAQ",  I recommend  saving the articles in PDF format so they will be available all time in your computer.

Cheers

Welcome! Lots of the info on here is for all 750's but the 77-78's are a little different especially in the carbs.

A tip with the searching is to search from the home page rather than in a particular section. If you search from home it will scour all sections not just the current one. Sometimes a question posed in one section answers a question in another...

One man's "help" is another man's "advice." ;-)

Welcome from upstate NY. If you're new to riding, you should seriously consider taking the MSF Rider's Course. You'll get your endorsement and learn lots.

I took an MSF course late last year, to see if I enjoyed riding a motorcycle as much as I thought I might.  Needless to say, I was hooked...
