i have 1976 cb550F with 26,623 miles i'm thinking about selling it is it worth $500.00 needs head gasket started to leak this year on left side run great put new tires on last yaers and brake's and clutch it's been at great bike thanks

 ;D It's worth what someone will pay but $500 for a decent running bike sounds fair and probably more than fair to someone with the hots for a 550F  ;)

Thanks for the reply I have a 1971 cb750F I need to get back on the road the 550 just cant hang with my friend's bikes when they want to run the back road's seem like I'm trying to play keep up with them like I'm running her hard so my 750 should hang with them better  James

Don't bet on it...those 550's can be quite quick!

If I had $500 I'd gladly buy your bike if it was in decent condition. If it runs and just needs gaskets, I'd say $500 is an excellent price. In december I paid $500 for a 650 that was in decent condition just needs some TLC and all we got it to do was turn over :D
