Smoooooth new Motion Pro throttle cables
« on: May 13, 2009, 05:52:42 PM »
Wow.

My old throttle cables were getting scary.  Notchy, stiff, and feeling fragile.

I ordered up a pair of Motion Pro replacements from my local shop and managed to have enough energy to get out to the garage tonight.  30 minutes later they were on.

Smooooth action!

32 years can do a number on those old cables.

I was pleased with how easy the swap out turned out to be.

You can't make too much popcorn, but you can definately eat too much popcorn.

Where do you go around here? I haven't really come across a decent shop, I went to Reynolds and they told me all that was available for cables were OEM Honda.

Yea, I don't spend money at Reynolds...

I go to Debbie who runs Powerwheelz in South Portland with her husband.  She's great, no attitude, no bs, just metric bikes - dirt, track, and road.  Will order anything for you and they have a small storefront and shop.  I get all my needs there, except for vintage used parts off Ebay.  She and her husband raced CB750's back in the day.

Here's their info-

Tell her that Ben with the old CB 750's sent you.
