Nearly finished....or not!
« on: May 15, 2009, 06:30:57 PM »
Howdy all - I think I've nearly finished the rolling resto - just a couple of things to get done and that'll be it - haha, we all know it's NEVER finished....
I've added new wheels and spokes, shockers, fork gaitors and headlight brackets this week (thanks to DSS again) - the sort of things that can be done when time and money allows, and items that were bugging me but not preventing me enjoying the old girl. When we cut out the old spokes we noticed a couple were cracked, so the job wasn't done a minute too early!
Waiting for a break in the weather here (much welcome rain) so I can take her out and show her off.

Beautiful!

Where'd ya get those pipes? I wouldn't mind having some stockers on my bike, they're just damn expensive.
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

Hey MJL - take a look at David Silver Spares (UK) for the pipes - in the scheme of things they are quite cheap - I bought them a couple of years ago, and with the heat shields etc and freight, they were still $400 cheaper than I could get them here for.
No self respecting SOHC should be without them!  ;D
