'76 CB750F Rear Wheel & Brake
« on: May 18, 2009, 07:59:45 AM »
Anyone know about how much a rear wheel & entire brake assembly from a '76 CB750F is worth?  I found one at my local junk yard (and it had everything for the disc brake assembly) and he is asking $200 for it.  I know I'll have to do some frame welding on my '72 CB750K to mount the master cylinder and such, I'd just like a spoked rear wheel w/ a disc brake.

If it's in decent shape appearance wise and it functions properly I'd say the whole thing is worth $200. Decent brake stuff is not easy to find. Price out the 2 pistons for the caliper then decide.

Just the master cylinder alone would run about $75 from a salvage yard.  So that does not sound out of line.  Make sure the master cylinder is not frozen but even if it is it could probably be freed up but offer less if that is the case.
