Topic: Partsnmore clip ons 35mm

 I just bought sight unseen 35mm clip-ons from Partsnmore for USD $45.00. They do not have them pictured on their website so I'll post some here.

My initial impression is better than expected but have not mounted them yet and plan to replace the zinc hardware with something better. Chrome is good and welds look clean and solid. Bar length is 10".

I have no affiliation with the company and this is my second order from them with no issues. I do share the same reservations as others have expressed (no phone number, they are not a "real" bike shop, no technical support etc). But for the price they seem to to be good. For adjustable clip ons I looked at Tomaselli styles from www.unityequipe.com and www.fastfromthepast.com.

Now you know what to expect.

My only issue was that the long bolts and nuts make it easy to hit the tank.

Watch out if you have them angled in a bunch.

I replaced the bolts/Nuts with am Allem head bolts and acorn nuts.

Aside from the bolt issue, which is pretty minor given the price of the clip-ons, those look pretty nice. The construction looks fairly decent.

I want to see them on a bike....also, how crazy is your riding position when they are on? Are rear-sets required?

That's right. In order to make them not hit the tank on my F1, I had to add about 3/8" to the stops on the handlebars. Made for wide turn when walking the bike around (not that I did that very much, but moving it in the garage was a pain).

Also, the stock Honda Front MC will not fit on the bars. That's another problem I had with my F1 with those bars installed. I actually made up 2" extensions to make everything fit.

And, no, you don't NEED rearsets, but they make your back feel nicer if you have them. Mine were mounted under the top triple tree, but for a lower front end, you can also run them on top.

I have these clip ons as well and am planning on mounting them on my cb750 k7. Im concerned about the master cylinder fitting. Did you have clearance issues bc you mounted below the triple tree? I am planning on mounting above, as well as dropping my headlight. Will I still have clearance issues?

How did you manage to extend the length?

I have not started the CB750 yet and am gathering parts. I will post detailed photos once I start but here are the same sized clip-ons on my Triton during the build.
Clip-ons fit directly on your fork tubes and the OEM headlight holders must be replaced with another style

Swan any input on whether I can make these work with my stock master cylinder? Will mounting above the triple tree allow it, or should I go ahead and look into replacing the MC?

I have not starting this CB750 build yet but I'll check the clip-on master cylinder clearance and get back to you but I do not think it is an issue and clip-ons will fit, no problem. I have run clubman bars on CB400, CB550 and CB750's with no MC clearance problems.

This CB750 will have a 4ls Suzuki drum brake without a master cylinder so they will work for me.

just bought a pair of 35mm clip ons.  Found them on a weird section of the site

Payment from Canada was a little weird.  Had to email my cc number in two separate emails.  Nevertheless, items arrived in a timely manner.  Gonna put them on tomorrow.  So far they look pretty solid and what a price!
