Topic: CB650 Switch Question

Hey I have a question for you guys. I'm rebuilding my 1979 CB650 and I am trying to figure out what I should do with the old switches. They're plastic and very old, so they look like crap compared to the rest of the bike. I've been searching high and low for a solutions, but I'm not quite sure what to do. Basically what I want are metal counterparts for the switches that I can either chrome or paint, but I haven't been able to find anything that will work. Any ideas?

Since the switches are common to most of the 750- years, you could go to a bike wreckers and perhaps find relatively new looking ones. That's what I did and was surprised how many there were to choose from.

No help here, I'm still running the stock switches.
But I like the fact mine looks old and well used. More "authentic" looking.
Besides would they steal the 30 year old bike that looks it's age, or the HD that shines in the sun next to it?


But thats my view.



You could get nearly any controls and make them work if you are willing to re-wire them.
I thought it would be a nightmare, so never really looked into it much.
