Is it still the original color? That'd be fing ridiculous to see. My mom had a sears one that would try to kill you at about 25mph or so. She traded it for a pinto when I was about 3 years old. Go figure.

hey Sheik what city are you in? i see those motorized bikes all over town here in Portland
as for mopeds and scooters i think they are both really cool, my girlfriend has a fully restored 1964 lambretta scooter, its a really beautiful machine, id post a picture but its in the shop AGAIN!!! (no joke, that thing sees a lot of shop time)
i dont know about other citys but portland seems to be a hot bed of scooter and moped activity, there are several moped gangs in town with funny names, i think one of them is called the "Hells Mosquitoes" or something like that

I don't have a problem with mopeds or scooters, I do have a problem with some of the people who ride them. Because they do not require a license to operate (in CT anyway) all sorts of bozo's are riding them. Most of the people who ride them around here never wear a helmet. I've even seen them being riden on the wrong side of the road on a heavily used state roads. I guess I just fear that someone is going to get seriously hurt.

They get on my nerves, but I dropped my bike of at a shop yesterday for a post-somedumbassbackedintomyparkedbike estimate and on the way home it starting raining and hailing like the world was ending. I ran into a scooter shop and ended up getting a ride home. They were pretty nice. The guy running the shop didn't seem to give a #$%* about anything but motorcycles. They had a few old scooters in there that were sexy as hell. Me and my buddy were talking about doing some research to find out where their kill switches are so we can buzz by and turn their scooters off.

I was actually cut off by one riding with a buddy. No helmet, jacket or anything. And then there's the lady that lives close to me that rides with no helmet and on the sidewalk.

I've noticed 2 kinds of scooter people in Nashville. 1. The ones that know what's going on with cool scooters, respect for other drivers and HELMETS 2. Retards that shouldn't be allowed to have any sort of vehicle whatsoever that will get smashed soon.

Used to ride a honda trail 70, thats kinda like a skooter. It had a 3 speed tranny but did not require the use of a clutch.
It took all the abuse A bike could take I think! Even lost almost the whole exhaust!.

I have a friend and he had a honda hobbit at one time. It DID have pedals. It would go about 30mph or so but if he pedaled like hell, about 35!

I'm a moped rider too, but I've gotten away from that...

But I still own them....sentimental value....you know?

Anyways, theres a lot of A-hole kids running around town on them and it's really starting to piss me off....

When I was 14 I valued my life and ride....I didn't take the muffler off so it's so fricken loud, nor did I put a speed kit
on it to be doing 45mph down my street...

Case in point, who cares if they have a moped gang, as long as there not some A-holes!!!

Random observations:

-Here (Chicago) Puchs and Motobecanes seem to be all the rage, especially with the mid mount tank. They seem like fine kids, though I've seen a few of them use their chuck taylors for brakes.

-A guy I knew in Austin who rode a 250cc Rebel once tried to borrow a wrench at a scooter repair place. They told him, "Not for a motorcycle, I won't." Retarded.

-No matter what I do on, or to my K3/6, it will never feel the same way I did when I was 16 riding my POS police salvage 125cc scooter for the first time. Its the "chasing the dragon" theory, I guess.

any of these zeros, who take them selves too seriously and play badass, are due for a public mocking. scoots are ok, and i respect the challenge outta trying to make something go fast(er?) and/or look better.

everyone wants to be some evil, black tee shirt wearing occ gangsta. a car won't sell unless it looks like satan himself pooped it outta his demonic butt.

those gas powered bicycles are neat. but some jerk face neighbor has one with a bad muffler and blats incessantly past my place all the time. guitar string at neck level sounds good to me. and i know i'm an outcast here but i like those hard knock scoot/chopper things. but they too take the chain wallet/ doo rag/please don't challenge me or you'll find out i'm a wimp thing too far.

personally, i like any machine that allows me to avoid exercise.

That setup would look rad on a sturdier-framed town bike, like this:

Sorry but if your bicycle has an engine then you must be really lazy........a bicycle is for pedaling....there is nothing cool about an engine in a bicycle....thats almost the lowest of the low....sort of like a fat person on a sedgeway.....get off and walk!!

Let's see now....got pedals...it's a moped.....no pedals either a scooter, motorbike, or motorcycle. I got me a scooter/motorbike that I'll ride anywhere. In fact I once for the fun of it, put on my full leather gear & helmet and got on it and rode it up the street. Got a lot of ROFLMAO on that one. Lots of fun. Oh yea, what I ride is my 1965 Honda Cub 50. What a blast!
