CX500 bogging
« on: June 05, 2009, 09:40:21 AM »
1979 Honda CX500 bogging a bit when I really throttle. A friend told me it's most likely the carbs need cleaning and/or to be synced. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

CX was the only Honda I worked that needed regular NEW (even if it looked clean) air filter to run right
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

That too!!

I'd also clean them and have them synched. Even if only to be on the safe side.
