CA motorcycle registration...
« on: June 07, 2009, 09:15:22 PM »
Ok im building my first cb550f bobber bike that was given to me just the frame and motor. the guy said the thing has been on his side yard since he bought the house a few years back.   is their a way to see if the bike has been registerd or if anyone knows of a way to get it registerd?  im lost on ow to do it.   i can register it as a home build since it won't look like a cb550f when done but just want to be able to pay the fee and be done with it. any help will be awesome.
Keep it shinny side up.

call dmv 18007770133 and give em the vin# they will tell you exactly how much it will cost. If they want to see it your best bet is to take it to them before you chop it up cuz the can get pretty nasty when it comes to registering a "custom". You will probably have to do a statement of facts to register it if you dont have a tittle or bill of sale but all in all its not that bad
