Is this one of your grandbabies, or did someone just leave the baby on your doorstep sans basket?

i found her out inmy shop/garage/storage. she and her 2 siblings (the other 2 were dead) we have loads of strays around and though i have caught  and spayed severalfemales and neutered malrs, it looks like i missed one. they were buried back behindseveralengine blocks and some ceramics molds. they had to have been born there.i'llk get her weaned then re-homed to an approved, responsible owner since i absolutely CANNOT have another cat. there are days i swear i have too many as it is (6) and though this IS the 2 year aniversary of me having to have Ilse my little calico euthanized (she had cancer) and this little one is (big coincedence) a calico. i just cannot keep her. thats Ilse below

Aaa, What another cat?  She too cute to give away.  Just think of all of the fun you can have when she get to that playing age.  Cats are pretty adaptable to being feral as well.  She can be "the shop cat".

well, she has to be bottle fed every 2 hours for the next 6-8 weeks. her bladder/bowels have to be stimulated at the same intervals with a warm, damp paper towel, to simulate moms tongue. in effect, i'm now a cat mom. you never saw a fully grown aduly get so excited over a tiny kitten letting a little inch long squirt of poo go! lord, i hope i'm up to this challenge. i did the same exaact thing EXACTLY20 years ago today. except then, it was 4 little tiny balls of fluff. lucky i have lots of time on my hands to sit and bottle feed an unwilling participant. hope i dont get attatched (yeah RIGHT!) Hamish just loves her, he sits on the couch next to me the entire tiime i'm feeding her and handling her. he will lean over and lightly groom her as well sometimes. lol what a pair of mommies we make. a big, hairy, tattoed guy and an old, cranky siamese male.

Nice save.  You know if you give it a name you will end up keeping it. ;)  That's happened a few times to me and I had the best intentions of passing them on to some one else but.....

Might I suggest a hijack?  How about turning this into a name thread.

And I'll start with "Chopper", since a chopper seat is what brought you out there to find her.

well, caring for a less than 2 week old baby turned out to be a bit more than i could deal with. the lady that runs the sanctuary where i adfopted callie from last year agreed to take her and foster her till she was ready for a new home. i couldnt deal with the feeding and de-pooping her every 2 hours. wore me out even worse than i already am lol. i am now goign to bed for 24 hours now lol. they DO want me to name her. thinking about that now.

well, she and her littermates were in a box full of norton parts, so i gave jill, the foster lady a call and asked her what she thought and she said that norton was a good british motorcycle and also a fine name for a little kitty  ;) i terribly miss her BUT she's way better off where she is, with a momma cat that lost her babies, so norton is getting nursed and cared for by a cat mom and not a human moom like me lol. i thought iwas really cool that they asked me to name her. wife and i talked about it and i'm taking the money i got for selling the mandolin and i'm donating it to this shelter in little nortons name. cant name her bucky because i already have a siamese named bucky-katt. she'll be alot safer tpp where she is as rocky, the abysinnian wanted to eat her in the worst way lol. rocky is a total #$%* to any new kitty though.

i called and checked on little kitty this afternoon and she's dping great with her foster mom. i really wish i could have handled the fostering duties but there was just no way. these folks will be really sure that when the time comes she'll get a really good home too.

Aw you big soft thing Fuzzy, my old cat is 18 years old (human years) and was brought home by my big hearted son as it had been abandoned by a family who just moved off and left her.
Neko (Japanese for cat cos both my kids were studying Jap at the time) is one old old lady now, but she stuck with me when my ex buggered off and that cat hated my ex so I made Neko a promise that I would look after her till the day she died. :D She likes nothing better than to curl up at my feet while I'm on the computer.
I'm not allowed another cat...ever apparently cos Jaffa don't like em, so Neko better last a few more years for me. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Hush- that reminds me of my cat Tsukiko- she and Jack had to live with Daddy after our divorce, but the funny thing was, while my ex and I were still living together, when he'd have his new girlfriend over (awkward) Tsuki would immediately pee on any clothes etc the chick left on the floor.  When the ex insisted on keeping the cats (and he had to, my new other half was allergic (and a jerk) I found out later that Tsuki habitually peed on the new girl's stuff for over a year to come.  Made me love the kitty that much more... :)  but she's now living with my ex who will never give her up, so I have two new kitties of my own.  ...and a great story to tell.
