Earlier model carbs on a K7
« on: November 11, 2005, 07:58:14 AM »
Hi all,

has anyone tried earlier model carbs on a 1977 CB750 K7. Mine has them on already and as i have another set that i am cleaning up to replace the old ones i would like to know whether the jet sizes will work fine.

Thanks
Chris

Early models will work fine. Mains I think were generally 120s and slows were 40 or 45.
It is still the same basic engine just with some refinements.

From what I understand ,the K7 engine is internally identical to the F1. The cams, pistons and head are all are the same. The exhaust is obviously different and would have some impact on jetting.
I would start with the settings mentioned above as they are richer than the F1 (mains 105 and slow/pilot 40)
