Hey Guys...got a nice 81 CB750 custom for a buddy as his starter bike...as usual...carbs are the issue...I need to find a place to get some parts...
Maybe someone here can direct me to a good fourm...

That will help a lot...
The carbs on these things have air shut off valves...which are bad...figure that's what's causing the unstable idle. Be nice if there was a way to just block the passages....strickly for air polution issues...and look like they would be a constant issue.

You can block those air shut off valves without issue. I just did it to my brothers '79 750k. No emissions issues either, they are supposed to prevent popping on overrun, but I can't tell any difference. Check charging/voltage to all ignition connections, they are real voltage sensative. Best way to go is to install a complete Dyna 2000 system from Z1.
