Cliffs' (Magpie) Twins win the bike show again?
« on: June 21, 2009, 10:02:22 PM »
Yup, don't go to a bike show with this guy.........his fricken bikes are perfect ::)

We had a great day, Sunny all day. 10,000+ people and the coolest cars I have ever seen.
(Qualicum Beach Fathers Day Show and shine)

3-4 blocks of a small Sea Side community Packed with cars and people.

Here are a couple of the hundreds of cars in attendance.
These 2 were so cool 8)

Here is Cliff "Perched between his 2 Baby's) ;D ;D

A zillion guys stopped to talk to him about them.  One funny moment, couple of guys come by when I'm sitting in his chair, they ask ..these yours I say no as I have for the past 10 guys and they go on to tell me what's wrong with the bikes :P  I say........with a sly grin, take it up with the owner ;D ;D ;D Cliff comes back and the discussion got quite ............well, I was going to yell FIGHT!  FIGHT !   ;D ;D ;D  good fun.

Ok you made it this far so here's the pr8ck now getting his well deserved BEST ANTIQUE Trophy ;D ;D
I don't think he even knew which of the 2 won ::)

Bastard ;)

I guess these to old folks weren't on the judging committee ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

That guy spent 15Min's + walking around my bike looking, touching, and talking with his wife about it while I stood nearby but I couldn't hear what they were saying. I have been making stories up in my head ever since. He really didn't look at the other bikes with much interest?????????   That's the fricken judge I needed ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Again Cliff, your decision to buy and keep a bike for 39 years has payed off again.
Just kidding, both your bikes are beautiful  and you deserve all the accolades. Perhaps you should consider taking in some of the shows in the US next year ;)

Lovely old set, would be no good to me, I'd be tossing a coin to seew hich one I ride daily. :D
That old dude was probably saying to him lady, "I had one of these you know, mind you it didn't have one of those but it did have a #@*% and not so much chrome, I think it's a Kawasaki. :) :D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Thanks Derek! Thanks guys! I think Derek was referring to an old guy that asked where I got the seat recovered. Answer, it's original. Where did you get it? It came with the bike!!!!!
Amazing interest in old Honda 4's.
Cliff.

Congrads on the win.  Don't you just love the sidewalk judges who just happen to be experts in all things.  I entered my BSA in a charity show and some guy came up and proceeded to tell me all the things that were not correct.  After a couple of minutes of listening to him, I asked what he rode to the show.  He proudly pointed to his bicycle parked on the sidewalk.  I just walked away.

Jeez Seaweb, Qualicum Beach has changed since I was last there, all I remember was a Pub (maybe it was a coffee shop ) and a general store, congrats Magpie on win.
