What's the black tank off of?  Looks very similar to a 400F tank.

Looks like a CB200 tank to me.   A little too small IMO....too much frame neck showing....I'll wait to see how the rest of it turns out though.  Good luck!

yeah, 200t. I like the neck showing. Check most dirt/flat/street trackers and it's a common theme.

I might hit you up on the rotors. Found your website in your profile. Any pix of your bikes?

Why are you calling it a street tracker?

Can you at least put 1 dirt track piece on it ?

You mean other than the dirt bars? I guess I'm as bad as someone throwing clubmans on a bike and calling a cafe racer, right?
If I put anything on dirt track-wise, it'll probably just be brake and suspension upgrades, maybe pegs. I'm actually going for something more along these lines:

not sure what's different here other than the seat. Maybe you can enlighten to my bikes dirt track deficiences?

I wanted a small glass track tank and tail piece for a while, but realized that was completely impractical for a daily 60 mile highway commute. So I went with the cb200t tank for the size and looks and built the seat to match (we ride two-up).

The green bike has flat track bars, and forks and tank & more..

yours has  motocross bars, and what looks like a 60s chopper seat... I am hard to fool.. I was there when every 2nd bike had  a seat covered like that in usually metalflake colors..

Perhaps you could hunt up some alloy trees, number plates, dirt track bars, alloy rims, fat front tire, that sort of stuff..

yeah-I'm digging the track snowflake rims and fatter tires. I'm planning on doing a rear disk swap of a cb750f-maybe there's something aftermarket that's more appropriate/lightweight? My concern about the track tires is highway wear; how does that work out? And can you give me some info on the alloy trees-will the fit the stock forks? Peg-wise, it looks like the dirt track bikes use pretty much stock rubbers-is that really the case?

and you got me on the seat (as the you probably did on the headlight). It definately has chopper influences, but no chopped frame...yet. I might try to add some Trackmaster style frame accents later.

look for Betor forks off early CanAm, if they have the ears you are lucky, otherwise more work. just the trees might work, holding one of my set,  in my hand, I got last week for 20 bux. ;D
Cerianis are nicer but way more money.

So what's the upgrade: lighter? stronger?stiffer springs/internals?

I found these off Omar's-kinda pricey, but nice looking:

I'm not having luck on the rear wheel/ wheels like the green bike, unfortunately. Something like these:

I heard Rotax had some, I know beemers have 'em, but not in 18-19s

There are lighter wheels that are less obvious.

5-9 spoke mags will work.... or you could use full spoke rims with shouldered hoops.

Most important... try to get same size wheels as in both front and back. Might not be important to you but it makes it easier to control when sideways at 90 mph.

Also... Maxxis dirt tires are probably the best on pavement. There might be a better one, but I haven't gotten the chance to try it yet.

You can get a glass tank that will hold 3.5 to 4 gallons but it will almost always look like the older Yamaha flat track tanks.

Take almost everything you don't need off the frame and the bike. The tracker glass tail can be comfy but you need to use the right material. A gel type substance works good. At least for my fat butt lol.  :D

Dont pick one of the most expensive HTF wheels..

BMW mags are not the same as those, and you may be thinking of Rokon, they used the ones in the pic.

most dirt tracker, at least a lot of them, use Ceriani or Betor front ends, and many use knockoff hubs with alum rims and rear disc.. front are usually spool wheels unless used for TT.. But for street you want a disc.. usually a single so you can still see the wheel.
The reason you see so few 4cyl trackers is the frames are so wide, that none of the real tanks & seat/tailpieces will fit the stock frames..

so to get the rear/front disks where do I look? How much does it take to get the wheels to mount up? I know BCR moves there shock mounts forward to get a 19 to fit in the back, but is that completely necessary? I completely understand the width on frame issue, hence the cb200 tank/ chopper seat.

For what it's worth...

I would suggest finding a Ducati 320mm front disc. (any 900cc monster or ss) The fit the pattern of almost any 6 bolt Yamaha disc mounts.

You would need to space it out correctly but they look mean when finished.

Yup, that what mine will (does) have.. ;D

A reasonable front wheel choice, Yamaha mag used a lot on trackers, Morris looks good too with single disc. Tam & Honda 4 pattern should be same.

Rear some use Yam mag, or Morris if you can find(some are quite narrow.

Disc wheels, the 750 f type does not have the lean look of the QC hubs.. Might find a nice rear disc wheel off a dirt bike at a wrecker, or just keep looking.

Running a tail section like the trackers use will really change the look of your bike, as will dropping front fender & running fatter tire/wider rim..

If you can incorporate legal lighting into a number plate, it will help out the look..

Yeah, I'm considering shaping a piece of sheet metal to mimic the tail section and dropping the back fender. As far as dropping the front fender, I found out the hard wau that it really sucks when it's raining on the highway and you're getting rooster tailed in the face whilst riding between to 18 wheelers :o Can you run a fender with wider wheels?

I just found the integrated headlight/number plate set-up-pretty cool looking.

First things first, I'll start with the rear disk/19 inch wheel conversion, then move on to the trees and forks. The plates and tail section are icing at this point.

Easiest I found was to use a dirt bike rear setup.

Rear caliper is easy to mount and the sprocket carrier has loads of different sized sprockets available for gearing.

Plus the minimal look goes well with the rest of the theme. ;)

Some Suzuki RM or MX  aluminum tanks are close in looks, but will still need a lot of modding.. cheaper still than building an Alum tank fron scratch.

Yeah, fender is an on & off thing.. we can get away in the summer here without.., just try to get a quick on or off, the metisse style glass one (wider) would be cool if you can find that style..
