I was in Disney World hanging out in a t-shirt shop to cool off and spot Fergie... Princess Sara Ferguson... looking at Goofy shoes. :D I went over and indicated that I recognized her and she put her hand right out to shake. I asked if I could possibly have a pic of the 2 of us and she was very wonderful about it. So, somewhere on my old computer, I have a pic of the 2 of us, looking like total #$%* cuz we had both just gotten off the rockin roller coaster and were dripping sweat from the heat. I was the only one in the place who caught that she was there and as soon as I got my pic, her guards got her outta there. I didn't even see them hanging around, in polos and shorts, looking big and dangerous. I'm glad I didn't try to hug her or something, I may have gotten tackled.  ;D Later that night I was at the fireworks and the guy next to us was showing us his pic of her as she was on the coaster, taken over the heads of rows of people in front of him. It was just a sliver of her. So, I get out my camera and show him my pic of her...  ;D

I passed Arnold Schwartzenegger at Planet Hollywood in FL. He was about to do a photo shoot. He had the deepest tan and whitest teeth I've ever seen on one human being.  :o

Met Mike Love from the Beach Boys in Ocean City, MD.

I know there are more, I'm just drawing a blank right now...

When I was 5, my mom, grandmother and I got 'stuck' in an elevator with David Crosby and a couple chicks who were with him.  I knew him right away from a book my mom had about him.  Pretty cool.  He was claustrophobic, but did a pretty good job of keeping it all together. He grabs the door and pushes the doors apart, and everyone tried not to "scare the little kid".  At the time I thought it was all really exciting. ::)

When I was a kid a bunch of us followed Jerry "The King" Lawler around our local shopping mall. He was pretty cool to us.

John Glenn autographed his autobiography for me.  ;D

Oh, and I watched Albert Pujols hit a grand slam Friday night. Along with 40,000 of my closest friends.  ;)

For the older drag racer crowd.  My wife and I attended the Blue Suede Cruise at Norwalk Raceway Park a few years back.  There we met and had a talk with Mousey Marcellus the owner of the Winged Express AA/Fuel Altered.  A real nice guy to talk to.  He was signing posters and posing for pictures.  At the front of the table was a large urn shaped like a large trophy.  Inside was the ashes of his deceased partner and driver Wild Willie Borsch.  He said he took it to every meet.   :o

Last year when we got to Bonnevile we found a spot next to a familiar looking trailer, and I left my newly assembled "salt cruiser", my E Z UP and a few other things, like the motorized bar stool.

Well when we got back the next day, my bike had been obviously moved.. Later on Roger Goldammer showed up and said, "I had to take your bike for a spin it looked so cool"..LOL..

needless to say, he did NOT  >:( let me ride #39 ..Goldmember..

I went to a Motorhead concert back in the 80's and after the gig we met Lemmy and the boys, i said to Lemmy, "hey Lemmy, you must have guys buying you drinks and offering left handed cigs all over the world" he said " yeah but whats your point" i said "well how about shouting me a drink"  {pretty cheeky i know} and he said " i have never had that said to me in my entire days of gigging, i drink Vodka and orange, will that do," i said yes and we got slightly plastered on Vodka and orange.... and yes i did shout as well. He is a very interesting and funny guy, he also gave me a heap of momento's like picks and song lists for the tour.

I met Michael J Fox at an ice cream shop, just said hi and let him enjoy his cone in peace.

I got to ride (dirtbikes) with Jeff Ward and Micky Dymond at a fundraiser for Doug Henry, holy cow are they fast. I did get to sit and eat lunch with them, cool guys. For those not into dirt bikes and supermoto, Doug Henry, met him several times, he lives a few miles from me, is paralyzed from a supermoto accident. Doug is one of the nicest people on the planet and a hero to motocross fans.

My daughter (6 years old at the time) ran into Jeff Suppan, literally, came around a corner and wham there he was, at my moms appartment building. he was pitching for the Red Sox in his rookie year and he lived in the same building as my mother. He appologized for banging into her, she was running too.

OK, I was in Bakersfield on business, hanging out in the hotel bar. There was a large group of people at the other end of the room, that had pulled several tables together. I was sitting at a table near the entrance, with my bake towards the entrance. A blond gal came in, stopped, just off to my right and slightly ahead of me, putting her admirable back-side mere feet from my face; I mean, I couldn't help but look. She was wearing a black satin jacket, with "The Yellow Rose" embroidered on the back. She scanned the room, saw the group at the far end, waved, and went to join them. It was Cybil Shepard.

It was about 1977 I think????
I was living in Adelaide, South Australia, and we were going to see Rod Stewart in concert at Memorial Drive.
While we were waiting on the pavement to cross the road, a limo cruises slowly past us with Rod and Britt Ekland in it.
So I got to within a few metres of fame.

Can't quite remember how old I was but I think it was back in 1980 when I was 10. I was in Minneapolis,MN. in a hockey tournament. We stayed at a Holiday Inn, I was hanging out in the lobby when this monster of a man climbs out of the back of a van and comes into the lobby walks into the lounge and sits his gigantic ass down on 2, yes 2, bar stools, 1 for each cheek.  None other than Andre The Giant.

Holy crap, I was a big rasslin fan and this was huge. I walked into the lounge with my dad and I squeaked out a....Um! Hello. Got an autograph and he put his hand on my head and tousled my hair, #$%* felt like I had a giant octopus on my head, then a little bit later a midget, sorry, horizontally challenged guy tried to give me his autograph and I just kinda walked away scared.

Greatness might be a stretch here. I was in West Hollywood last weekend playing eucher on the roof of our hotel when Andy Dick stumbled over to us and asked if we were ok. It was actually a little creepy.

Sitting in the KC airport waiting to go back to Dc from Leavenworth.  An older gentlemen sits down next to me and his attendent says. Stay here boss I'll be right back.  Ray Charles turns to me and I am all cool and say
"Damn your Ray Charles."
 Why yes i am.
My mom loved take these chains from my heart and set me free.  She died recently but I'm sure she is tickled watching this.
Ray Charles takes abreath and starts to sing" Take these chains from my heart and set me free. two stanzas and the attendent returns and he is gone.  Ray Charles sang for me like I was the King of England.  I think of that meeting often.  Doesn't cost a dime to be nice.

John F Kennedy waved to us from his Limo when he first ran for President, though my Mom would faint.

Shook Richard Nixon's hand. Little dried up looking man in person. Handshake like a dead fish.

Flew Frank Sinatra and his two guys from the roof of Caesars Palace to his private plane. He was real friendly, and I was real nervous. He asked me to impress him, I guess I did, one of his guys gave me $100.

Met Otto Premiger, Jane Fonda and Tom Hayden in my Hotel Restaurant in Palo Alto. She was kind of plain looking.

Met Stephan King in a bookstore in Bangor. Bought a copy of the Dark Tower and he signed it. Bought a copy of Firestarter and he signed it. Friendly guy but creepy eyes.

Drove up to Bill Clinton's Cul De Sac by accident. He was outside playing with his Dog. Much taller than I expected and not a good looking in person as in pictures. Two Secret Service guys just kept their distance. He had a odd charms about him, never liked him much, but I could see how people could. Tod him i shook Nixon's hand. He said "take a step up Son". He had a firm shake.

Walking around Manhattan you see all kinds of famous people, but no real  interaction.

In the early '90's I was working in the service dept. of a Ford dealership in NW Montana, one day I looked over to the parts dept. & one of the salesman was standing there talking to Emilio Estevez & his then wife Paula Abdul.  Not such a big deal- he had bought a truck from us a month or so ago & was there to pick up another to test drive it for a couple days & I had just run into him the night before in a local bar I hung out at.  He & Tom Cruise would show up & jump behind the bar to play bartender when they were in town.  My buddy the bartender didn't care (they made a ton of money in tips for him & he could hang out with us & slack off for a bit).  A couple of hours later I get a call at the service desk from a customer with a flat tire.  He say's to me "I'm driving my son Emelio's truck & got a flat & I can't find the spare."  I think for a moment & tell him it's no problem- every vehicle we sell comes with a tire contract that includes roadside service & towing.  So I jump in a truck & head off to the Mini Mart after calling the towing company that we used & told them where to get it.  I pull up to the truck with the flat tire & no one is around.  I walk in & there is Martin Sheen leaning on the counter shooting the #$%* with the employee's!  I spent the next hour or so running him around town, returning his rented cross country ski's & running errands.  I then drove him home to Emilio's & the whole family was there.  Emilio seemed a little pissed about the truck & asked where it was & was it locked etc.  Martin just shrugged & in a Spanish accent said " I no lock up the truck, no one in the truck, Senior"  and then handed him his camera case he got out of the truck & pointed out it had a loop so he could put it on his belt if he wanted.   He then reached into his shopping bag & pulled out a t-shirt and gave it to him & told him not to get mad about the tire- it was taken care of.  He is a nice guy, a little senile, but funny as hell.
