Nevermind. It will work. Or rather, it is compatible with my bike. Whether it works, I have no idea. We'll see.

I wouldn't buy a rectifier used, especially if the owner is giving an as-is vibe and doesn't say it's been tested. There are lots of these sitting around that have been ruined by cross polarity jumping or age, etc. Get a new one from OregonMotorcycleParts.com for $45, mount it correctly, and be done with it.

Ordered. I will no longer have to carry my charger around with me everywhere I go and hope that I can find an outlet in a well lit, populated area at night while I work. *whew*

I remember that moment...when the bike starts charging itself. Ive ridden 4 years with the same battery now -- through NY winters under a cover and all -- and have never externally charged the battery. All I did was test my alternator to make sure it's OK, cleaned all connections and gooped in dielectric grease, and put in an oregon rectifier and solid state regulator. Perfect.
