Cool story, what was the distinguishing feature of the bike that let the PO know it was for sure his bike?

Pretty crazy running into a guy who used to own your bike 3 states away

There was a ding on the tank, it was there when he bought it. He did move back here and brought it back. He lived in a nearby town.

Who has a 75/76 rear axle?

I had some stuff lined out here but the seller disappeared. Time to start on Son of F now that the restore is damn near done

Since I can't call it F2, how about F²?

Has the F1 got drum or disc rear brakes?

I had to make my own custom rear set brackets to then mount Hyabusa rear sets on my F2.

For the 750 F, all had rear disc from the factory, according the HMIG.

So custom rear sets for an F all need to run a brake Master cylinder, didn't think anyone made a set of rear sets that do this for an F.

Mine is also a 1978 F2, but retrofitted to looks like a K, the next mod will be a Gordon's Frame Kit, to make easy the maintenance of the Head that this engine need, she has 28000 kilometers (minimun) and no traces of smoke or guide valve noises (maybe changed by po)

As far as I know F3 is solely for USA Market this unit is from a Switzerland dealer and in his frame id plate said F2 type G

I'm looking at the same thing but am still on the fence as my master cylinder may need replaced anyways leaving me looking at a modern set of controls with matching mc.

That's what i want to do to mine. Keep it a single disc with a forkbrace. But I'd use a EBC disc and a 4 piston caliper I've seen nailed on to these, with EBC pads. Looks stock but acts better.

Hi Don, the bike is a Standard F2, the rear wheel is from a 1976 F almost bolt on (only need larger spacer in the left side)
the front wheel is from 1977 K7 with the F2 discs drilled to 6 holes and with a 6 holes outer plate each side between the nuts and the rotors fits good to the forks and calipers, the only problem not yet solved (I will

) is that there is not room enough for the mechanical speed sender, and I'm using a electronic Speedhut unit instead.

The bar is lower sure, but I'm not sure if is also narrower
