I've been working in my 350F project bike. I put in a set of rings and gaskets last weekend and finally got the carbs cleaned and rebuilt using kits from Old Bike Barn. I've put only about 20 miles on it since. My problem- I seem to be getting white smoke out of the exhaust. It runs great. The jets in the kit were stock, a 35 low speed and I think a 105 main. I cleaned and re-used the stock needles, I didn't like the looks of the kit ones, they didn't seem to have the same profile. The plugs look a little sooty and a touch wet. I dunno, maybe the rings just aren't seated and it's burning a bit of oil, but the smoke looks whiter than that to me. I haven't done a compression check yet with that few miles. I've got the stock airbox on with a crappy set of 4 into two's. Oh yeah, I'm running the pilot screws 2-3 turns out depending on the cylinder. Anyone got any ideas??
