It is made by minichamps. You can find it cheaper if buy directly. I was going to get me one but I have to de-clutter my apartment so no more room for toys...

I'd love to have one, but at that price its cutting into real parts purchases.

i know! and at first i didn't even notice the price is in Pounds! -  then i nearly had a heart attack.

course it is almost 11 inches long, and this detail is pretty amazing...I wonder what kind of tires they modeled on it...can anyone tell? there is a spot of tread detail visible in a highlight spot just below the left rear turn signal -  any Sherlock can surely trace it down...

OOPS! hold it, mates...is that the WRONG taillight lens for a K0???  :D

Did some tweaking to try and bring out the tread pattern for the tire detectives. The tail light appears correct, but the master cylinder seems to have a chrome cap. Not sure that is correct.

huh? so on my K1 (71) the taillight is smaller and has a bulged out smaller circle located at the bottom of the face instead of the flat, round circle that covers the whole face - i had thought that the change to the large face did not occur until 1972 or 73. Am i just dead wrong?

Actually I am seeing that depending on country designed for the taillights vary. The larger version became standard on the 1972 K2s and up for North America, but I noticed on a lot of the European country bikes they retain the K0 taillight until 1973. Same as the grab bar. On the Noth american 750s for 1972, but the K0 rear retained until 1973.

EDIT - found some European K2 shots...

very interesting - good find!  in fact, the old-school taillight is one of my favorite aesthetic features on my bike - i guess that's why i noticed that the model has the wrong one - it says it's a 1969...too bad someone went to all the trouble to make such a finely detailed model and then missed that.

if i wanted to drop the 150 bucks on it i would carve a new taillight out of a little piece of red lexan  :D

Got me curious, so I dragged out the parts list for the 750, K1 and K2. The drawing shows the same lens for all three and the list shows 33702-077-671 LENS, tail light (HM-11RC) across all three columns.

However, there  are two other lines on the list where the middle #'s are 302 and 323 respectively and each has a note "(Used in E.D.)"  Anyone know what the reference to E.D. means?

The tail light looks correct. But, where are the mirrors?

I wondered the same thing. I'm guessing just too fragile to cast and include. Too bad, the pivot point, or lack of, is somewhat unique on the K0.

I wondered that too..... Are the old primary chains small enough? (It's a 1/6 scale model, right?)

 :D :D :D

jonesy - you're right! i looked again at the taillight - it is the right one - i was suffering from optical delusion, what can i say?

well, it looks like there are some little problems with the model, but i think we can all agree quite a sweet piece of craftsmanship. reminds me of my favorite childhood mouse - Stuart Little. think how good he'd look astride this beauty!
