As a general rule, anything that a friend of a cousin's roommate's brother-in-law has said about your motorcycle that would possibly make it worth more when selling it, become fact when you put it on Craigslist.  Didn't you know that? ;D

Ok ladies... Here it is.

ME:

I'd be interested in more information on the 1100 motor if you have it. I was under the impression they never made 1100's in a 750 chassis.

If it turns out that I'm a babbling idiot I'd be interested in driving to you to pick it up. I'm always looking to add to my collection.

HIM:

thats what i thought also, but when i took it to the honda shop to get serviced they told me what i had.  the guy said there were only five that he knew of that sliped through the cracks so to speak. they ran the numbers and it came back that i had one.    he told me it was a factory misteak on the 1100 motor in the 750 chassis,  that what the guys had told me, thanks

I have sent him another reply asking for the engine numbers and vin number so I can confirm. Maybe he'll bite.

I have a 1971 Valley green Metallic CB750. In 1971 ONLY Valley Green Metallic bikes ran on "KRYPTONITE" and came with a Richard Nixon Bobble head doll. The dolls are now worth thousands on Fleabay.  ;D

Odd. Cause I have a 1972 CB750 with a big S on the tank, it says in the manual that it can not come with in 50 yards of the Valley Green Metallic 71 model. Now I understand.

Strangely enough I was told by my local bike shop that my CB650PZ was switched while on the production line and fitted with the Dylithium crystal powered warp drive motor!
Apparently if I exceed 150 mph the warp drive kicks in and I go interdimensional, luckily for me I have yet to break the magic 150mph barrier but it does worry me.
Gordon, try running the bike on liquified friendly dolphins and abandoned street kids, the gas milage is amazing plus there is always plenty of available fuel. ;)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Pfft...  My Goldwing goes back in time when it hits 88mph.  Good thing it hasn't gone that fast in a long time!  (Or has it?  Hmm...  :D)

Sorry, was just guessing that yours was one of those moving house bus type Goldwings with reverse gear and running more powered things than a normal house.
Guy at work has one, we call it the house bus and he has to park in a car park as opposed to the motorcycle park as he takes up so much room.

So far no response from him. Hope he writes back... I'm starting to wonder if he's the con or the shop.

Yeah, Dan, you've been hard at work on that wing. Looks a lot better than where you started. Have you decided on the paint yet?

There was an 1100cc motor with the DOHC F's but the covers where different and the exhaust wasn't compatible.  Plus there is no oil cooler.  Its just funny how people will outright lie about things just to try to get a sale

I ran out of money on the 'wing so no update on the paint yet :(

And I stupidly didn't pull the gas tank (from under the seat, not an easy job) to clean it before I overhauled the carbs.  Now I have the gas tank pulled and I get to clean the carbs again.  Hooray!  ;D
