Topic: 1975 CB550 - What year tanks fit this?

I see a few tanks on ebay, not great shape however they are better then mine with a big gaping hole in the side. There is one that is from a 78.. would it work on 75? Also what years would fit? I would think most? Don't know tho.. Any help would be great.

78 not without seat and then ninge/lock mods

Any 500/550 tank 1971-1976 will fit straight on as long as you get it with petcock

Been discussed before.
The F tanks and the 77-78 K tanks are the same shape size. Variances in the fuel valve. Frame mount features are the same.  

75/76 K tanks are the same size but shorter. Tank length effects seat length. Earlier 550 and 500 tank all fit on to the frame in the same way, but they have different fuel selector valve assemblies.

 But, all the 550/500 tanks mount on the frame the same way and fit to any other frame.

Yup, my bad I did not do a search first.. sorry for the duplicate thread. My brain is on vacation this week.   Thanks for the info, saved me from buying the wrong part..
