Topic: just a quick carb question

i was going to do a carb rebuild on the cb350f

i was talking to the guys at 400fourstore and they said to rebuild them with a 400f carb rebuild because of the altitude up in here in denver,  does that sound good to everyone?

That makes no sense.  For higher altitude, if you're going to make jetting changes you would go down in size, not up, which is what using 400 jets would be.

I'm pretty sure Heffay up in Lafayette is running stock jetting on his 350.  A jetting change isn't always necessary, sometimes you can get away with just adjusting the idle mix screws and running a foam stock air filter replacement.  Those are the only intake changes I made to my 550 for high altitude and it runs fine.
