I think they used the dummy at the base of the ramp to dial in the process. Or the guy going down is the dummy.

Have to say it is fake.....splash of the water was straight up instead of in the direction of flight. but a nice job of film work.

It's called special effects. They can make all kinds of impossible/improbable things look real.
