sooooo close i can taste it. need to figure out what to do with the ignition wires and need to find an exhaust for my girl. got the tank mocked up. i have to make a rubber mountfor the rear of it. i have a buddy making me some shock conversion plates. i am nervous about the carb rebuild i did and hope no gas spills down on the engine. -lol  here are some teaser pics for ya guys.

Wow, that is looking fantastic!!! The red really pop's and sets off the frame color..

We going to get a video of it when its done?

On the motor....take a heat gun to the paint on the motor and get her nice and hot.....it will cure the paint, and then fuel spillage issues will be less of an issue.

Really looks nice.  No front fender....I like!

Slapi, I'm looking at putting the battery under the hump of my 350F build. An AGM battery model number XTZ7S measures 4.4375" wide x 2.75" deep x 4.125 " high, or a similar Yuasa should work. They are both sealed and can be laid on thier sides. What tail did you use (Glass from the past)? Is there any room underneath? Anxious to mock mine up now.

i got mine from the great guys at rock city cafe. (sean)  i am still up in the air about the battery placement. i think hiding it is the way to go for the nekkid look, but something about a polished aluminum box there would look killer. something different.. idk???  what is the smallest battery w/ electric start can you go with peeps?

back to clearing the fender  ppppppuuuuuuuu

well i joined the bandwagon and decieded to put it under the hump. i went to home depot and picked up some light angle iron and went to town. clears the hump and seems to be pretty strong setup. what are you guys running for positive cable battery is relocated? stock 8ga or drop to 6ga? i understand electrical with voltage drops when running longer cables, but thinner cable will make hiding it neater. i don't want to have issues though. here are some pics of the setup

i ended up getting the same battery as my hawk. yuasa ytx7bs. this little baby cranks plus i am making jump points on it for the just in case method.. -lol

the rearsets were made on a lathe with round stock, spilt pins and buell pegs.

i forgot to put up a pic of the fender i did up..

well i knew the 350f ran from my friend (PO). he picked up the 400 to use it in the bike, but ended up selling my the bike. i dropped in the 350 for now cause i plan on tearing down the 400 for a rebuild. i heard that the 400 is a total difference from the baby. so we will see and maybe if the $$ is there get some hopped up parts for it.

well, faced with a problem. the broken exhaust stud could not be drilled out properly due to the frame in the way. i scratched the frame pulling it out, but i will try to fix that.. Do i put the 400f engine in there now at this point?? what would you guys do?

 >:( Man, that sucks! I know you are ready for it to be finished so you can ride it, but I agree with putting the 400 in it. You have time, until spring really gets here.

well i don't have the money to rebuild the 400 as of this time, so i tore down the bike to get the engine out. drilled/tapped out the whole and everything is ok. i must say that resto'ing a bike sure can be nerveracking. -lol  i broke my butt and got everything back together including more. need an exhaust, order correct chain(ordered a cb350 -oops), clutch cable, with a few little things to be finished with her.. just in time for the nice weather.  i need to figure out what to do about a rear fender (the PO grinded off the mount tabs for it) here's a almost complete pic. hopefully the next one will be outside and even a video

yeah you know... it's a tough call. i can run the brace only, but the fender looks nice too.  we shall see what the old mind deciedes.  thanks for the up comments fella's. as much fun as it was i am exhuasted and just want to hear this baby.

i run mine with no fender....just means you need to be sure the road is REALLY dry before headed out.....

Fender shmender, if honda was really serious about you having a rear fender they would have welded it to the frame, not attached it with easy to remove bolts...
