cafe project on Two guys garage
« on: September 18, 2009, 08:13:05 am »
I don't know if any body else has scene this, but they are building a CB 550 cafe on the show, they have only done one episode (805)   one of the few interesting things they did was to take the top triple tree(clamp) and flip it over and use clip-ons ,when I first saw this I thought there is no way that can work, but I went out to my bike and  tried it and it worked, it also lowered my front about 3 inches, I was also able to snake my drag bars  underneath and bolt them on. I don't know if I will actually run my bike this way but it is interesting just wanted to see if anybody else had watched this.

I used to watch it pretty often.  I knew one of the older guys left, but I didn't know both were gone now.

The episode I saw showed a lot of modified parts being put on without explaining the how and why. Just [we took this down to the machine shop and they made this fit]
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
If you love it, set it free, if it stays it's probably one of my 750's.
