F series forks VS K series forks?
« on: September 25, 2009, 07:30:44 PM »
OK been spending some time sanding and sanding and polishing some forks I have off a 74 cb550k  my question is is their a difference in the forks?  I know the diameter and everything is the same but is their a different spring rate in each fork?   if it will change the way the bike rides then I will take the time to polish the forks on the 75 f model bike.  well here are some pics of what I have been doing.   this site has helped me allot when it comes to this subject since I hate doing it so much.

Here is a polished fork side.

theirs still allot of sanding and polishing but it will get their.  also here is a before and after shot.  I'm actually proud of myself. it turned out better then I thought.

well let me know what you guys think I hope they will work so I can put them on and make the bike look a little better.
Keep it shinny side up.

No one can help me out.  I don't want to mess up the ride on my bike if the spring rate is different. But don't want to take the bike apart and not be able to ride if I have to polish the forks on the bike.
