I've got one in the works, just have to mount the resistors and wire things up.

Beer and wrenching aren't always a good combo, but thanks I'll take you up on that offer for sure when it's time to bring the project back outdoors.

It's carrying the engine/frame combo back up a narrow twisting stairway that's a little irritating.....

Thanks everyone for the education I've received on the limitations of the CB500's charging system and how to reliably equip one with 3 ohm coils.

These orange colored Andrews brand coils do measure 3 ohms, I previously measured them with an inexpensive meter from a certain tool store....
But today I measured 3 ohms across the primaries of both coils and I think it was 14K across the secondaries, but with a low degree of variation between the two coils using a higher quality meter.

We have the coils installed along with a 'resistor pack' to bring primary resistance up to 4 ohms.
