 After the clogged carbs, plugged exhaust, stuck valves, the engine swap, wiring, lights, brakes, oil leaks and other fun I finally got it running good enough to go to the bike shop for carb balance and new Dunlop K81/tt100's. It was windy as hell but I took my helmet and jacket and rode er' home. about 25 miles. Horay for me but most importantly, thanks to you all for all the encouragement and help.
 Now to enjoy some riding this fall before it comes apart to get pretty. ;D :D ;) :)

I  found some aluminum polish that kicks azz. called green ape. I've been making my lester mags pretty since I got home. It even shined the old fork legs.

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

  I posted pics when I first got it but it looks way better now. I plan to ride until it gets  cold and then take it apart for finish work. I borrowed a black tank and sidecover from my brother, looks OK but I have a NOS candy blue green sidecover and I just gotta paint it that color. No working speedo, the drive is there but not being turned at the wheel. I believe there was some discussion about lesters not having a spot to drive the speedo. I am thinking dual disc anyhow. Pictures tomorrow. If I'm not too busy riding it. ;D :D

Cold to me used to mean danger of ice. I'm a little older now but still thrilled to be riding a CB. My neighbor saw me on the bike and gave me her late husbands leather jacket and hand made saddlebags, said he would want me to have it. A little choked up but warm riding.

^Treasures for sure. I ride when I can yearound. We get some good snow here, but mostly, it melts off by 10AM.
