hello, hello ,hello....well I got MY tickets to see mott at london hamersmith odeon/apollo on saterday night....THIRTY FIVE YEARS OF WAITING ARE OVER.......original line up save for buffin [dale griffin] who illness got worse.........my birthdays on friday, but it is now delayed till saterday....I am quite choked, is anyone of you fellow cb ers coming over......I know from the Ian hunter message board that loads of Americans are, but wondered if any cb ers are?? if so, private message me will you, me misses and i would love to meet you...we will be meeting up before saterdays gig at the The Rutland Ale House in Hammersmith at about noon onwards....
For those of you who dont know or who didnt know, Mott did two warm up gigs at Monmouth in Wales, some footage of which is on youtube............
For extreme fans....who didn't find out about this till now say, allthough all five nights were immediately sold out, 2nd, 3rd, 5th,6th oct etc...there are folk on the ian hunter message board with tickets that are spare, some of these folk are Americans that cant make it for various reasons and for true fans are prepared to sell their tickets at face value or in some cases cheaper........but be very quick cos they wont last long.....
Due to contractual issues it is most unlikely that the original line up of mott will ever appear again...Buffin was going to try and do as much as he was able to with the pretenders drummer ready to stand in as and if needed, all fans wish him a speedy and total recovery of course......but i would seriousely suggest that you may never ever get this chance again.......Do you remember those saterday gigs?
