hey buddy, spare a measurement for me?
« on: October 15, 2009, 12:39:56 AM »
Can anyone take a measurement for me on a 78 750 headlight bracket from top to bottom with the rubber gaskets in place? I lost mine and want to make sure my upper and lower triple tree spacing is correct. (replaced OE bearings with new sealed ones)

i guess you could just just measure the distance on your triple tree as well...

Thanks
Tim

If I understand what you're asking, mine measures 178 mm. Hope that helps.

thank you.

it really is amazing how, at the time of writing my initial post, my words made sense  but now a day or so later, re-reading them... i can see the head scratch factor.

I was referring to the inside distance between the bottom and top of the triple tree where the headlight bracket goes.

So, i am good: 178mm = 7" and thats what i have.

thanks again
