Looks like with those you'll have to worry about correct placement for the emblem holes.  The ones I got from Frankenstuff had dimples in the correct spots for drilling.  Franky's are priced better, but I'm not trying to pressure you either way, just offering info.

I'm saving my pennies up for the LPM air box now..it is a nice reproduction.

Looks like you're right. I don't know the correct placement of the emblems and wouldn't trust myself to eyeballit. It doesn't take much beong off to notice the probelm. I think this is enough for me not to get them but I'll get their airbox.

He may not be making K0 ones anymore according to his web site. I posted on his thread asking about them. Cliff.

My gas tank repair continued from my Help, I f&^%$%$# up my tank.
To recap, I used an impact driver to try to remove the screws holding the fuel tap to the tank resulting in pushing the tap mount down and making a mess of it. Panic stations. Walk away. Post a "HELP" thread and back come the answers, "it's a simple repair, really". Pull the sunken part back up using a metal plate and 2 bolts.
Here's the damage.

So, a friend has the perfect piece of scrap metal, already drilled with holes that line up perfectly! 2 bolts and I'm away. Gently tighten then up to the point where I'm afraid I'm going to pull the threads out of the tank. As per Frank's suggestion I put a piece of cardboard between the tank and the plate.

Which pull's it up quite a bit.

And the tap fits quite nicely, it has a fairly deep o-ring on the mount.

Now to make it smooth. I filled the deep divot with JB weld including a smear across the whole area, cleaning the threads with a Q-Tip. When this sets I will block sand it back to bare metal and the divots will be level with the mount. Being level and having the o-ring, it should be fine and not leak. Filling the tank with water should be a good test.

I wonder if I should be using smaller pictures?
Cliff.

Glad your tank mod is coming along nicely. (;D)  That got your heart rate up, I'm sure.

Look forward to future photos and progress.

Thanks David! It's interesting that many things I post that I seem to think are going to be hard to repair, a forum member will post a reply saying "that's not so hard to fix, just do this.................". What a great place!

Geez, I just noticed, it almost 3 1/2 years into this bike and it's coming down to just paint and pipes. I have a crappy set on it now but if need be I can rob a set off the K1's to qualify for my Collector license plate and cheaper insurance. Doesn't seem that long ago that I got this bike but I have a picture of it shortly after it arrived dated March 19, 2007! Amazing - glaciers have moved faster than me - ha! Cliff

So, here's the results. I've filled the tank with water. It's not leaking, so far, around the join between the tank and the tap. It is leaking from the inlet to the float bowl which means I need a new packing for the tap. I'll leave the water in for a day and see what happens. If that's good I'll dump a couple gallons of gas in and see if the JB is effected by it and starts to weep.
After block sanding for a flat surface. Not much JB where the o-ring sits.

Where the worst of it was.

Leaky tap, will order a new packing.

Cliff.

Well I'm sold on the vinegar treatment now, this is just about a 12 hour soak so far. The rust is heavier in the bottom of course but this is very encouraging. Twilight Zone ? The level of the liquid in the tank is increasing slightly. Cliff.

I think the tank came out quite nice inside. I rinsed the hell out it then flushed with soda. There was bit of flash rust so I coated it with 2 stroke oil. Cliff.

Waiting for new repro side covers from The Honorable Mr. FrakenFrankenstuff then take everything to my painter for a price. I have the tank decals already. But have to save a bit more $$'s too.
Meanwhile still puttering on the 750F and bought a book on auto body repair to learn how to repair the baby Benley.

Working my way out of the holding pattern, life has been "interesting" the last while. Changed the carbs out for some that were brighter in colour. The others had been painted black and I guess the paint stained the metal. Also changed out the kill switch for a correct one. the one I had used was from a very early sandcast, black knob, no pointer. That will go into the parts supply for later project. Still have 2 Benlys and a 90cc Cub waiting for love.
The quality of the builds being posted is amazing. I need to up my game!
Cheers, Cliff.

Cliff, The Benlys...you talking CA95s... Are you using aftermarket gasket sets?  The dealer is telling me the Honda gasket sets are not available anymore. Supposedly the aftermarket set is complete but it really doesn't look like it is all there. It is hard to see what is there in the Head set that are listed.

I don't know what my CA95 needs or doesn't need. I know it does need a new paint job, something fierce. Sitting in storage since spring of 2009 in NE Tennessee's humid weather has not been kind to it. Sitting in storage in Arizona it would have been in much nicer shape. But, it had Iowa title and apparently was a storage unit sale because I bought it in 2007 as a project bike for $350. It was in pretty rough condition. Tires pretty rotten and fender dented up  and  multiple dents and dings along with a rusty right muffler that had shed his chrome entirely.
I bought the bottom end Honda Gasket Set B from a Indonesian seller who had it listed as a full gasket set, I educated him as the Gasket Set A being Top End and B being the Bottom End. Told him he could verify the part number with Honda parts department microfishe.
It could be a fake...never know these days. Hopefully not.
What did you use for gaskets on your CA95 build previously?

Nice progress on the bike... Keep it going.
