Anyone used the carb kit from Partsnmore?

I just cleaned my first carb, refreshed it with a carb kit from PartsNmore. (K2 bike, carb is a 657A)

Everything went well except that I have this black O-Ring left from my kit. I was careful while taking it apart and didn't see this O-ring anywhere. Can someone who used it tell me where it goes?

One more note, I didn't take out the needle jet...I'm not sure if it has a gasket. Microfiches aren't helping...  >:(

O ring (7.8x1.9) that fits (1 each end) on the end of the fuel joint (metal) that links both carbs?

Most kits I've seen don't supply o-rings for the t- fitting joining the carbs . What nuggy oo said . Bowl drain screw .

Some of the 750s had O-rings on the choke arm's shaft: that looks like it would have been one of those. The 657A/B carbs don't use them.

I hope the kit(s) did not include needles: the PartsNmore needles are Keyster, which are dead wrong for these 750s. Don't change the needle jet with Keyster parts, either. If you do, you will siffer flat spots and black sparkplugs, and cannot tune it out: go back to the Honda needles and needle jets. They don't wear out until about 90,000 miles, anyway, and even then, you can drop the needles one notch and compensate out the wear. Keihin was pretty smart about them..  ;)

Turns out it was the bowl drain screw. I couldn't get it off so I had forgotten about it. It's all good...thanks for the input guys.

However, this issue with needles. I did use the ones provided in the Partsnmore kit. I put them side by side to the needles that were in the carbs and they seem identical. Is this possible? Has anyone else had a bad experience with these needles?

They may be the same length, but the Keyster tapers are quite different. This can be measured with calipers on a 12-point range, end-to-end of the needle. Thousandths of difference are very important here, as a difference of just .003" at, for example, the first width of the tip, will make the fuel change by 7%. It's very precision...if your new needles have a number like "27201", they are Honda's Keihin needles. If not, most Keyster needles have a 1, 2, or 3 -character identifier engraved on them.

If you search the forum for "keyster" you will find many tales of woe about them, at least with their needles: fouled plugs and erratic performance are the symptoms.  ;)
