Public Auction - Lot's of bikes
« on: October 28, 2009, 05:23:41 AM »
This could be a very interesting auction. All bikes are on a "no reserve" basis

One bike that holds my particular interest is Doug Henry's 06 YZ450F but I know I could never afford it. It would look awesome in my living room but my wife might think differently.

Other toys: 98 YZ125, 70 MGB, 99 Camaro

Well that's settled...i'm going lol. Would be cool to pick up an old dirtbike...looks like there are a crapload. At least one has gotta sell for cheap heh.

At the least I can check some of the cool bikes out. Would love to snag that Honda NSR.

Just give me an hour alone in that room. There are so many, I could never settle on one. No thats a lie. I would get the NSR or a nice vintage honda dirt bike!!! There were a couple of really cool bikes I couldn't identify(which doesnt happen too often).

That's what I figure, no way I can afford the NSR, but I can try for any number of the vintage dirt bikes that are there. Or regardless it won't be a waste of time just to see some of the bikes get auctioned off. That and i've never been to an auction before and this one isn't crazy far from me.

Sure wish this was in my neck of the woods.  I would be bidding for sure.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Everytime I have driven to Nac, I have never seen a SOHC4.  You musta been hiding VG.

I just got it a couple of weeks ago. Pulled it out of a barn. Victim of a poorly installed clutch, sat for 20 yrs. I should have it roadworthy and titled by the spring. I do have a couple of videos on YouTube, just search vanilla gorilla or $100 cb750. Where do you ride in from?

I would come in from McKinney, just north of Dallas, when my brother went to SFA and then decided to stay there after he graduated.  He moved from there just this year out to Waxahachie.  So, no more rides to Nac for me unless the other owners forum i am hooked up with decides to have another rally out that way.

Think there is a place in Mckinney(could be wrong)called metric tech that does metric drag bikes. Had a phone interview with them when I was in Phx, but my girl wasnt ready to leave then. Where do they hold this rally? Mostly Harleys and college kids on sportbikes around here. I dont care, I love them all! I am a bit of a oddball, certified HD tech(1936-present), owned a 2000 R6, 83 XJ750, and now my 78 CB... I figured out, going to school, that 4s are much better bikes, both to ride and work on!

Yeah, I've seen Bettencourt sponsered bikes at local races.
