Cool , I heard Harbor freight sells suction bleeders for $20 . But I have yet to buy one.
First comes the $80 dollar ultrasonic cleaner first. never  smell carb cleaner again.

Nah go to Speedbleeder.com if you are keeping the bike or at the beginning of any resto project. It was like 15 bucks shipped and works AMAZINGLY well....absolutely nothing easier or more effective. Literally turn my brakes from mushy to rock solid in under 5 mins including changing out the bleeder screw. I even installed one on my CBR for annual maintenance.

not quite room on this one ! lol, Would like to get another 750 with some atrocious kind and queen seat a a big ugly windjammer or maybe eena wing , puke , haha nooooooooooooooo! but really this guy was gonna trade me for this cx this GL 1000 that is cafed up as he is 5'3 and my bike fits him better and vice versa. Beefy looking and scoots, plus it hauls two people no problems ;D  and the number one cool thing, the gas tank is under the seat ! the tank is a pseudo  tank that just looks like one but comes apart in panels. I was thinking on running the speedo and tach though the instrument gauges to clean up the bike , make it look lower and plus tank guages are just cool in my opinion , just like headlight gauges. here is a picture of the proposed trade bike , tell me what you think ,good bad and ugly .

check it out

In case you're not aware, Plum Crazy was the surprisingly popular deep purple hue found on the Challenger and its stablemate, the Plymouth Barracuda, during the heyday of the American muscle car wars. These days, any car originally painted up in Plum Crazy has an intrinsic value to many collectors, and it seems Dodge is hoping for a similar situation the second time around.

The purple color is only available on R/T (for $225) and SRT models (for $500) for 2010 and the package also includes Plum interior stitching and a Plum seat stripe on the SRT8. Outside, buyers can choose from either Black Dual Wide Stripes or a newly-optional set of stripes in white. Previous High Impact colors Detonator Yellow and B-5 Blue are no longer available for order.

Also new for the Challenger in 2010 is a Super Track Pack option for a reasonable $400 that allows the driver to fully disengage stability control (finally) and adds 245/45ZR20 tires from Goodyear along with an uprated suspension with Load Leveling and Height Control, Performance Steering and heavy-duty disc brakes.

I thought that paint color looked familiar..

As for the trade its a cool cafe for sure.. Personally I would throw on a chrome visor and front fender (short fiberglass one painted to match the tank) and call it a day, but then I do like the idea of the gauges in the tank because its unexpected.. hum...

Sure gives you some thing to think about..

Oh and the exhaust from a honda valkyrie as I believe they have the same motor..

Well after 8 pages this thread is nearing an end. Gotta polish up a few bits and am gonna rejet for the pods as it is running lean but thanks to all for chiming in with ideas and responses and feedback and encouragement. It really goes a long way when you are working on a project to help keep you motivated.

IC, did you have athread for your bike? I have only seen the back side of it ... and a flash of it in a muffler vid of yours I found.

First comes the $80 dollar ultrasonic cleaner first. never  smell carb cleaner again.

Wait... What?   Ultrasonic cleaners are HOW much??

I've read so much great stuff about 'em but never really checked it out.  Always kinda assumed they were like a compressor or a  sandblast cabinet - on the order of 300 or 400 bucks.

I'm a BIG fan of never having to smell gallon cans of Gunk carb cleaner again...

I know a guy that has hundreds of vintage bikes (no joke) and swears by them. He uses this exact one with a metal mesh basket in it .

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Category.taf?CategoryID=774&pricetype

you can do a rack of carbs but you have to turn them like your cooking barbque. Fast too!

btw the other night when I was pushing my bike back cause it crapped out due to carb issues I posted that I met this dude who lives right by me and has an old triumph tiger . here is that bike:
70' Triumph Tiger He gave $6500 for it and it was professionally restored locally . His jaw dropped when I told him I gave 200$ for mike bike and did all the work . Not I met a cool neighbor we can start a cafe gang and harass small towns! I just can't figure where to keep my chain....A biker fight just isn't a proper one without a chain , and you cant drag anybody around ....hmmmm maybe a Indiana Jones style whip or something... :-\
