yeah, I know.  I keep wondering if at some point we should separate nominees into 'pro' and 'amateur' categories, just because some people here build (or rebuild) these bikes professionally as a business, and others buy theirs off CL and do what they can with it with whatever skills they either have or acquire in the process. Weighing one against the other sometimes seems a little unfair.

As good of an idea as that sounds, we really do not get enough nominees to split it up.

Some of us that have been around have an idea of who is who.

I know for me, when I vote, it is not based on just how sweet it might be but the effort one puts into the bike.  I will try and go through some of the owners posts to see what they really have put into the bike.  Sweat over $$ I say.

I just wished the nominee's would talk more about their bike.  Especially if there is not build thread.

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

As you probably know, I've been featuring the BOTM winners on the front page of the www.sohc4.net site.  I would be very happy to set up a section that made room for more pics and text about the builds.  It is a great thing to see people do so many great things with these bikes that this has become one of the highlights of this site for me.
