Output Shaft Oil Seal

I've just bolted the crankcase halves back together on my 750K7 after replacing the primary chains and tensioner. I thought that the final drive oil seal could be pressed in afterwards. I realise now that I should have fitted it prior to bolting up. Anyhow I've managed to 'drift' it in with a mallet and a very large socket, but it didn't really want to go!
Do you think it will seal OK, or should I split the cases and be certain. :-\

I replaced the output shaft oil seal with the engine on the bike. It is not easy, you need to manage how to hammer it as flat as possible, and still, you get some "rubber shavings" when the seal is going in, but as long as you take it easy and don't abuse the seal, there is no need to worry. Mine hasn't leaked a drop yet.

Well that's good to hear. I too got some 'rubber shavings' when pushing it in, but it's now sitting flat.
