I did my good deed for the day.
Was riding down the freeway in the left lane and saw a couple on a bike on the shoulder. Was going too fast to be able to stop, so I took the nearest exit and doubled back to see if they needed help. They were still there fifteen minutes later, so I stopped and asked if they were alright.
Turns out it was an older Aussie couple and they were on the side of the road for about 45 minutes hoping someone would stop, but nobody did until me. They were on a rented Harley, and had run out of gas. They said it was because they're not used to bikes like that because they both ride enduros back home, and getting 120 miles from a full tank caught them by surprise.
What did I do? Since my tank was full, I popped it off, held it over their filler cap, and turned on the petcock. Gave them about a gallon of fuel to get to the gas station. They were so grateful (and seemed like very nice people), so they offered to buy me a beer. Didn't want to offend them, so I told them I was in a hurry and was just happy to help.
Before I took off, they gave me their number and said if I was ever near Adelaide to give them a ring and we could go riding or something.
