Rode my mistress to work, record breaking temps today here.  Gotta love when its so hot on the road that if your at a stop or cruising at 40 there is not any temperature difference lol.  On the bright side fixed my rich idle condition I had one mixture screw turned out a extra 1/4 turn.  Runs smoother now and idle not as uneven for some reason... Oh yea and I don't smell like exhaust after a tide now either  8).  Now all I have to do is adjust valves, chain, timing, and sync carbs for the first time in 19 years...  :o

Changed the oil, and then kicked over the whole dirty oil bucket on the concrete :o
Good thing I know I'm clumsy and had layed out a 4x4 piece of heavy plastic under the bike before I started ;D

That oil should work great for burn outs all over the tires too :D  Not quite as bad as the time I took my oil pressure gauge off and forgot and started the bike... Figured that out right as I reved it up and it made a nice arch across my exhaust, rear tire and rim and all over the side case and ground lol

Still too freaking hot in the shed to even think 'bout working on it.

Theres also a pool between me and the shed, it sometimes gets in the way.

Got home from NYC and looked at my new air box tube for my KZ 750, shoulda been two but someone at BB F'd up and only sent 1.  Checked out the 360 real quick, no oil on the ground, fired up on the first button push.  Rode until my Beer and Pizza meter got low and stopped at Deweys for a refill.

Tightened chain - which, after about 800 miles on the rebuild, has stretched out a bit.
Also, temporarily fixed my ignition cover:

As much as I love the custom clear cover, it has begun to warp from heat. I also lost a screw recently. I found one to temporarily attach the cover but I'm ordering an original OEM cover + new screws and a gasket. I'll be sure to loc-tite the new screws in place also.

Well, I thought about it sitting at my sister's 50 miles away waiting for me to come and fix the flat tire I got Sunday.

well, I broke out my bicycle for the 13 mile ride to work today, so at least I was on two wheels.

going over connections, replacing the 350's battery of unknown age because it's not holding a charge so well anymore...

I installed a PAMCO onto my CL125. So far so good. I also removed the tires from the wheels on my 550 in preparation of a tear down so i can lace my new Aluminum rims to those hubs.

Box full of OEM parts came in today from ServiceHonda for my 750KO. Tackled the dreaded M/C tear down and rebuild. Would of never been able to do it without the info and help from this great forum. Don't want to do it again any time soon. Next on the list is fork seals and fork boots.

found a 1974 cb750 basket case right in my town with a painted and polished engine, 10k on it.  very pumped up to do another cb750.   Put the engine on a stand last night to put in new gaskets for the covers.   might post pics later.
Also been busy parting out a 550. Its great to be able to sell the parts to the SOHC guys and hopefully give out some good deals.

I wanna try it because I just took a class that taught brazing. I guess I need to find a bad tank to try it on.

I won't be the one putting it back together, but I need to go in and clean the tank by hand (lots of old tankliner in there a long with a lot of old sediment), because I'm sick and tired of having to clean my carbs.  Not that it'd hard to do, it's just a royal pain in the arse.

Here you go mate, I found my original post from last year. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Finally got my forks sorted out after the 'mechanic' that saw my bike for a bit snapped the head off the drain plug and failed to tel me. Was not happy... This guy set me back about 20 hours of work instead of putting me ahead 6.

Waiting on the clutch cable and new brake line, and then I can get everything finished!

Since I got the bike, I've added... new bars, new controls and throttle, new horn, new grips, completely redone electrical system (just need to replace the points and get new coils!) w/ turn key ignition and solid state reg/rec, new bolts and screws here and there, new headlights and turn signals, new petcock and some new fuel line, new tires, new bearings, swingarm bushing, head bearing... I need to take pictures tonight!

Can I ask where you got your rims?  I have at least 4 that I would like to rebuild.

Today I ride my 360 by the Saturday Coffee and Cars show.  Attendance was way off with maybe ten cars and one bike.  I didn't stop because I had seen all of the cars and the bike before.

I decided to ride to First Watch and get breakfast.  On the way there I had to pull over to the right for a siren.  I was following a van at about 35 mph, we both moved right I braked moderately and looked in my mirror because I didn't know where the the siren was coming from.  Looked up and the van was stopped, no brake lights.  I laid into both brakes, the front wheel locked up and started to scrub out to my left so put my left foot on the pavement which righted the bike. At this point I was turned enough to miss the van.  I let off the front brake and stopped just past his bumper.  I rolled up next to the driver just as he was realizing all of this was happening, flipped up my visor and told the guy,  "hey bro, your brake lights are out".  I rode off, feelin pretty good that at 47, my reflexes are still very much intact.

Put my repainted tank and Frankenstuff sidecovers on today, the side cover badges each have one post broke off, so I didn't install them yet, want to get some badge adhesive first. Also installed 4 Dunstall replica mufflers recently, absolutely love the new sound.

First try with photobucket, hope it works

Nice Bike. Is that a 750 or 550?  If it's a 550, may I ask where you bought the mufflers?

Thanks,
