The KO has been sitting on a jack stand all week , so last night I made up my mind to get the fork seals, fork gators put on and to get forks and wheel put back on bike. I also had two new Dunlop 404's mounted several days ago. I run these on my 750K6 and like them.

I didn't do anyhting myself, but my sister very kindly took the rim, unmounted tire and new tube and rim strip to a local shop for mounting and balancing. Tomorrow I pick it up, reinstall the wheel and take it home. Hopefully this is the last time I need to use her garage for repairs this summer.

Rode 120 miles up the Coast of Maine.  Did a stretch with some Canadians...discussed the Stanley Cup and went our separate ways.  Great day of riding.
" Why does anyone get offended by what someone does to their own bike? I dont get it. "

You made me think about it after I cheered knowing someone else would like to know what these control freaks are up to.
Every time any owner strips whatever precious Honda part the horrified purists parts go up in value. That's not the part that bothers them.
What bothers them is they sat up late at night, their breast full of wonder and estrogen, unable to sleep, dreaming about their lovely darling and all her glory... and next thing you know someone else doesn't share their emotional deluge and their reaction is they must spread their mind museum as far as they possibly can, taking over as much of the real world as possible.

Today I rode the KZ 750 around all morning just to keep her limbered up.  I was supposed to take Tara to bike night at Quaker Steak and Lube in Milford.  She had to work late and asked me to meet her for dinner early, so I decided to swap back to the 360.

Before I took it out I took off the tach and speedo to replace the rubber shock mounts.  It looks like the tach was replaced at some point.  The rubber for the tach was all old but good.  The speedo rubber was all toast especially the internal that seperates it from the cup.  I put on what I had and ordered the rest.  I had to toss out the speedo rubber, yes I used e-tape and made a sweet hillbilly shock mount.

Once the OEM pieces come in I'll take it all apart again and replace everything.  I scored 4 bulbs from NAPA to replace one that was burnt on the speedo.  I put two new 3.4 watt, 12 volt 1 candle power bulbs in the speedo.  The tach lights I'll replace when the rubber parts come in.

Rode the 360 to QS&L... Totally lame, at 8:00pm there were maybe 6 bikes there, all generic HD's.  I turned around in the lot and headed to the house.

Ran a compression test on all of my cylinders and found out that I need new rings and possibly a valve job.  This is going to be very educational if nothing else! ;)

Rode the CBX about 120 miles.  It started skipping at idle.  Put in new spark plugs.  Cranked it and warming found that #4 has a dead skip at idle.  Rode around the block and found the header on all cylinders hot enough to sizzle water off a rag.  So, it sounds like I have an idle circuit issue on #4.  BAH.  Time to pull the carbs as soon as I have time.   I guess I need to roll the 750 out, but wait, it needs new sprocket and chain.  Grrr.

Finally rode it, it's only been down since last fall.  Gotta post some pics, it's ugly but it's a rip to ride now.

Yesterday, I re tightened my exhaust mounts to eliminate a leak at the ports after replacing my gaskets.  The muffler was sagging, and creating a gap at the head.

Today, I rode her to work with a big smile on my face.

Pulled the carbies (a hairdryer to pre-warm them makes it a cinch!), put a gasket kit through, reset the floats, pulled the pilot jets and cleared them, cleared the accelerator pump. Fun day!

Electric panel and most wires are gone. Battery is probably done and the plastic section of the rear fender is shot.

Going to hit it with a hose after removing those parts and see what else is gone
